OUR PRODUCT
The product line of Universal Hosiery Inc., include Men's, Ladies and Children's socks and hosiery in the dress, casual and athletic categories, as well as, Slipper Socks, Ladies Pantyhose, Knee Hi Sheers and Tights. To meet the increasing demand of larger sized goods, both the men's and ladies categories also have a line that caters to the Big & Tall and extended size markets. The company distributes In-house brands, Private Labels and Licensed Brand Names. The products cover a wide range of selection offering various fibers, designs and colors to fit individual needs.
OUR CUSTOMERS
Universal Hosiery Inc., caters to hosiery wholesalers, specialty & chain stores, apparel and shoe chains, off-pricers and department stores. On average, the company distributes to over 14,000 stores per week.
We highly value all customers and strive to provide them with the best product and service available. Universal Hosiery, Inc is fully equipped with new technology to ensure good customer service. Our business systems are capable of tracking orders real time and providing customer account information when needed. The company utilizes the Electronic Date Interchange (EDI) technology in order to make the customer ordering, delivery and billing process more efficient and less costly.
PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
Universal Hosiery Inc., always keeps customers in mind during product development. Whether it involves developing in-house styles or working closely with customers on private label and licensed brands, the development team always maintains a high standard of quality. The In-house Designers always keep three things in mind during the design phase - comfort, quality and fashion. When developing a line, we customize to the customers', as well as, the consumers' needs. We honor exclusivity to our designer brands. We travel to Europe, Canada and the Far East to track trends and search for new yarns. The Product Development Team is busy through out the year preparing for the next season and just coming up with fresh ideas, so there is always something new at Universal Hosiery, Inc.
CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS
The brand new company-owned facility in California serves as the main office and west coast distribution center of Universal Hosiery, Inc. The corporate headquarters houses the company's executive offices, product development team, traffic and operations, as well as customer support services. Several other regional sales offices are also located throughout the country.
The corporate showrooms holds the entire collection of the company. This includes the in-house brands, private label goods and licensed brands. A portion of the showroom also displays the on-going product development work that may be available for the clients' selection.
The west coast distribution center can hold up to 40 million pairs of socks. Orders are processed and shipped out of the distribution center on a daily basis according to customer requirements.
QUALITY CONTROL
Quality Control is a very serious matter at Universal Hosiery Inc. QC is applied at every stage in the product life cycle. Yarns are tested prior to use in production and colorfastness & color match testing are performed at various points in development and production. Universal Hosiery, Inc's extensive and intense Quality Control overseas ensures that only approved goods are shipped to the US. The main headquarters in California also has a QC Team in the facility.
